Article 707: PARTNER AGREEMENT LIBRARY
This section of the Partner Handbook serves as the central library for vetted, white-labeled client agreement templates — reviewed and approved for use across the BF Solutions Partner network. Templates available here have been contributed by active Partners, evaluated for quality, and made available for customization by any Partner managing meaningful client relationships.
What This Library Is
A formal client service agreement is one of the most important tools a Partner can use to protect an account, establish professional expectations, and provide recourse if billing disputes or competitive encroachment arise. This library exists so Partners do not have to start from scratch. Every template here has been shared by a fellow Partner, white-labeled, and structured for direct use with your own clients.
When to Use a Client Agreement
Not every client relationship requires a formal agreement — but the right ones do. Consider formalizing client engagements when:
-
The account represents meaningful annual shipping volume (typically several hundred thousand dollars or more)
-
You have invested significant time and effort in acquiring the business outside of a BFAM handoff
-
The client profile carries real risk of carrier displacement, competitive poaching, or billing disputes
-
You want to establish mutual expectations and signal a professional, long-term partnership
What a Strong Agreement Covers
Templates in this library have been reviewed against a consistent standard. A well-constructed Partner client agreement will address:
- Clear identification of both parties
- Defined scope of services and any exclusions
- Exclusivity language, where applicable
- Pricing, fees, payment terms, and rate adjustment provisions
- Confidentiality and non-disclosure obligations
- Term length, auto-renewal, and termination notice requirements
- Post-termination obligations (account numbers, gain-share, transition)
- Claims process and carrier liability definitions
- Force majeure and governing law provisions
- Signature blocks for both parties, including any pricing addendum
Contribute to This Library
This library grows as Partners share what is working in the field. If you have a client agreement you would like to contribute, reach out to Carolyn. Submissions are reviewed for quality and relevance — those that meet the standard will be white-labeled and added here for network-wide use.
